In the Spotlight
Modes of Transport
The October meeting on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 will be a photo competition dedicated to the topic of “Modes of Transport”. Transport is largely seen as something practical and often gets overlooked for its aesthetic qualities. But boats, cars, trains, planes, and more, can be visually outstanding in their own right; from the engineering to the strategy that goes into their operation – not to mention the natural beauty of the environments they travel through. Don't forget - the deadline to upload your photos to the SmugMug gallery is Sunday, October 6 at noon!
What Judges Look For
Professional Photographer of America Gena Tussey is the proprietor of Gena Tussey-Station House Photography Studio located in Maryville and was one of the judges in our club’s annual 2019 Salon. Gena’s November presentation will focus on what judges look for when evaluating photos in events such as the Salon. She will refer to some of the images from our Salon in her presentation. Now, you can find out what you shoulda-done! (Just kidding)
Join us Tuesday, Nov 12 at 7:00pm to chat; the meeting begins at 7:30 and everyone is warmly welcome at the City room in the Roane State Community College, Oak Ridge campus.
The Public Reception for the Salon will be Friday, Oct. 11, from 6:30pm until 9pm and will include a guided tour with enlightened comments and tasty goodies.
